Quality One Wireless is excited to announce the complete acquisition of Q-Matics, LLC.

With a core belief that every mile matters, Q-Matics’ turn key Fleet GPS™ tracking system is the backbone of its automated fleet management software, capturing the data needed to automate and manage fleets entirely remotely.  Its system’s easy to view Driver Reports and Downloadable data (which include statistics such as Driver Score, Drive time, Distance, Hard Braking, Excessive Acceleration, Cornering Speed, and Geofence Trip Idle) provide mechanisms to compare individual drivers against the fleet with pinpoint accuracy.  Further, its Driver Score Command Center allows drivers to manage themselves and track their progress over time.

Quality One had been previously had a partial stake in Q-Matics for several years, but the development of the marketplace and the opportunity that it represents caused Quality One to make a bid to completely acquire the organization, and integrate it entirely into the rest of Q1’s product and service offerings.

“The growth we’ve seen in the telematics and tracking industries over the course of the past few years, with specific emphasis on it increasing acceptance in not only fleet tracking capacities but in the consumer-driven applications that accelerated throughout the pandemic made the wholesale acquisition of Q-Matics extremely attractive to us,” said John Chiorando.  “We are looking forward to truly expanding this business, and thread it in to everything we do here at Quality One”.

Q-Matics President Peter Giasante agreed, saying “Telematics tracking and automation has been an exciting field for years now, but the pandemic just accelerated adoption of these technologies to a previously unheard of level.  Having Q-Matics fully join Quality One will do nothing but help us reach our current clientele and expand into more markets faster and with more quality”.

While Q-Matics has been completely acquired by Quality One, it will continue to operate as its own entity.

Quality One is excited to announce that they were recently granted a Third Party Logistics Provider Permit from the Division of Drugs, Devices, and Cosmetics of the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation.

Mick Olinik, Chief Information Officer of Quality One

Quality One is pleased to announce the promotion of Mick Olinik from Vice President of Marketing Technology to the role of Chief Information Officer, replacing the retiring Garrett Grainger who had served at the position for the previous eight years.

A proven technology veteran, Mick is a seasoned technical business strategist who’s worked extensively with the Web since the mid 1990s. As such, Mick’s had the luxury of having a front row seat to the technical development and sociological trends of online marketing technologies from their very beginnings, bringing a rare depth of experience and expertise to all of his endeavors. Further, Mick is a best selling author and has been featured as an educator and a speaker at a variety of industry conferences.

In addition to overseeing Quality One’s technical operations, Mick will also be tasked with a variety of structural improvements, including modernizing the organization’s white label commerce offerings and infrastructure, streamlining the organizations internal systems and creating additional technical efficiencies in every area of the company.

“After spending over 20 years developing individual digital business systems in a variety of industries, it’s already been an incredibly rewarding challenge to bolster an organization as well respected and entrenched in a variety of different industries as Quality One,” said Mick. “The opportunity to take far greater control of those processes and the organization’s technical direction is nothing short of an honor, and I’m excited to take the reins and lead this organization with innovation and ferocity.”

Regarding the hire, Chief Executive Officer John Chiorando said, “Mick’s presence as the head of Quality One’s Technical Operations Department in the form of our new Chief Information Officer brings a level of energy, optimism and innovation that I’m personally thrilled to install into our organization. His concepts and implementational strategies are innovative and effective, and I’m excited to see where we can go technically under his guidance and leadership.”

Earlier this week, Quality One again continued their tradition of partnering with Central Florida’s top-rated morning radio show host Johnny Magic, and his Baby DJ Christmas Fund & Toy Warehouse program – this time donating over $80,000 worth of toys and good to the program… and bringing WWE’s Mojo Rawley into the mix as a surprise guest in the process.

Said Mojo on his TMZ segment on Wednesday, December 15th, “I was at the Buccaneers game on Sunday and I was sitting there with my buddy John Chiorando, and he was telling me about how every year he and his company Quality One Wireless do a big shopping spree for kids for toys for the holidays season, and I told him man you have got to tag me in on this.  So I showed up at and they had probably 20 staff members there with carts waiting for us.  They closed off 20 registers just for us, so we filled up well over 100 shopping carts.  It was well over $80,000 (of toys) – I think that’s when they gave up on receipt – it got too long… it probably spanned the width of the entire Target!”

Baby DJ allows area children from economically disadvantaged families to retain the magic of Christmas by collecting toys and distributing them to children in families that otherwise would not have a Christmas.

“All the time, people want to thank us for what we are doing with the Baby DJ program, but it’s good people like John and Quality One Wireless’s employees, customers and volunteers who could be doing anything else, but decide to come and help us get our warehouse ready to help some families that make it happen.  All I can do is say thank you for those families – Those Moms and Dads who are waking up thinking their kids are not going to get anything for Christmas (but they do anyway), and then not knowing where those toys came.  They came from John Chiorando, Quality One Wireless, and Quality One’s customers,” said DJ Johnny during a live, on-air radio interview earlier that day.

Said John Chiorando, “Quality One has been doing this for a really long time with Baby DJ. Everybody comes in and they donate their treasure, whether it be their money or their time (or both), and it’s a beautiful thing.  It not only helps some kids out – because obviously that is what this is all about – but I’ve been a parent who didn’t have a lot of money and knew the stress of Christmas.  So for all of the Moms and Dads out there experiencing this, I hope we are able to make at least one or two days this year a little bit easier.”

Quality One is excited to announce the promotion of Casey Ryan to the role of Chief Technical Officer.

Having spent over 20 years in the wireless industry bringing innovative and market-changing mobile devices to market withTier 1 & 2 Carriers, MVNOs, OEMs, and ODMs, Ryan has held Executive Product and Technology Leadership roles at companies such as Samsung, TCL, Coolpad, and Magic Leap.  He has a proven track record of fostering strong relationships with key industry partners by prioritizing teamwork, transparent communication, and a relentless desire to win.

As Quality One’s CTO, Ryan will be tasked with managing all aspects of vendor relationships, including vendor scorecards, management, and sourcing both new vendors and new technologies.  Ryan’s efforts will expedite Quality One’s advancement into 5G not only in the handset space, but also laterally into outside devices in the IoT and M2M verticals.  Further, Ryan will oversee all of the technological development and advancement of the company utilizing a three to five year roadmap.

“I’m grateful for this amazing opportunity to guide the technological development of an organization as strong as quality one, and I’m extremely excited to take the bull by the horns to drive this company forward in this new 5G era.  One of the things that stands out to me about Quality One is our mantra that we are always grateful, but never satisfied – and that’s exactly how I feel about this opportunity,” said Ryan.

Filling Ryan’s previous role as SVP, Product and Sales responsible for T-Mobile and Dish business is Jeff Harper, an industry veteran of more than 25 years.  Harper ran the T-Mobile handset portfolio from 2004 to 2011, and has since filled various sales leadership roles at bellwether companies including Nokia and Motorola.

Quality One is thrilled to announce that it has been named amongst the 2021 winners of The Orlando Sentinel’s Top Workplaces.  This is the second consecutive year that Quality One has been awarded the honor in the Orlando and Central Florida area.

Quality One was amongst the select companies chosen for the award as determined solely through employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by technology partner Energage, LLC. The survey is entirely anonymous, and measures several culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization, including company leadership, communication, career growth, working environment, managerial skills, wages, and benefits.

“It’s just really fulfilling to see The Orlando Sentinel once again honor and acknowledge Quality One as one of the area’s Top Workplaces for 2021, specifically in light of all of the challenges that we have all faced during this unprecedented period of time,” said Christy Doyle, Chief People Officer at Quality One. “This award means EVERYTHING to us because it is a direct reflection of how our people feel about working here, and it’s a feeling that I share and hold close to my heart,” continued Ms. Doyle.

Inc. magazine revealed today that Quality One is No. 2,378 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.

This list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. Previous honorees Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.

“It is an absolute honor to debut on the incredibly prestigious Inc. 5000 list in 2021.  With that said, while we are thrilled to be recognized as the 2,378th fastest growing private company in the nation, we won’t settle until we are number 1!” said John Chiorando, CEO of Quality One.

Not only have the companies on the 2021 Inc. 5000 been very competitive within their markets, but this year’s list also proved especially resilient and flexible given 2020’s unprecedented challenges. Among the 5,000, the average median three-year growth rate soared to 543 percent, and median revenue reached $11.1 million. Together, those companies added more than 610,000 jobs over the past three years.

“The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we’ve lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people.”

Methodology

Companies on the 2021 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2017 to 2020. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2017. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2020. (Since then, some on the list may have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2017 is $100,000; the minimum for 2020 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Growth rates used to determine company rankings were calculated to three decimal places. There was one tie on this year’s Inc. 5000.  Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.’s September issue. They represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000, which can be found at http://www.inc.com/inc5000.
